Privacy Policy

ShredUp stores the food you log, the profile numbers you enter and the email address you sign up with. That data is yours. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build a profile of you for anyone else's benefit.

• Account details — your email address, a username if you set one, and a securely hashed password. We never see your password in plain text.
• Food and activity logs — the entries you type, the foods they resolve to, their quantities and macros, and any step or activity data you record.
• Profile settings — your name and your daily energy target (TDEE), used to score your day against your own number.
• Basic technical data — standard server logs such as IP address and request time, kept for security and debugging.

To run the product: resolving what you typed into a food with nutrition attached, totalling your day, drawing your trends, computing your consistency score, and generating the insights you ask for. We also process it to keep accounts secure and to diagnose faults.

• Our infrastructure providers — authentication, database and hosting are run on managed cloud services. They store data on our behalf under their own security commitments.
• Our language model provider — when you log a food we have not seen before, the text of that entry is sent to a third-party model to resolve it into a food and its nutrition. Your email address and account identity are not sent with it.

We do not use advertising networks, third-party analytics trackers, or data brokers.

The app sets cookies strictly to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. This marketing site sets no cookies at all.

Your logs are kept for as long as your account exists, because the product is only useful with history. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your account and its associated data. Backups roll off on their own schedule shortly afterwards.

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@shredup.app and we will action the request.

ShredUp is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify account holders by email.
